80 Day Obsession - Week 1

Week 1 of 80 Day Obsession is complete! What a fun, yet extremely challenging week it was. The workouts are both mentally and physically challenging, which is probably why I love this program so much! Each day is a new workout and each day I feel myself getting a little bit stronger. Thank goodness Sunday's are rest days/stretching days because my muscles were screeeeaming - it hurt so good!

Workouts
Day 1: Total Body Cardio
Day 2: Booty (Yessss!)
Day 3: Cardio Core
Day 4: Arms, Abs, & Ass
Day 5: Legs (My favorite!)
Day 6: Cardio Flow
Day 7: Roll & Release

The longest workouts were 60 minutes, which was a little challenging and intimidating at first just due to the length. I wake up at 0500 hours every morning to get my workout in, so there was no time to hit the snooze button when the alarm went off. I felt amazing after each workout and was full of energy. There's just something about cranking up the radio in the morning and crushing a sweat session that helps the soul!

Sweaty Selfies & Accountability
When I first started working out, I joined an "Accountability Group" via an app that Beachbody works with. This is where people can log their workouts, Shakeology, ask questions, and share sweaty selfies. At first, I was like "There's no way in hell I'm sharing a selfie... and definitely not a sweaty selfie" - that was WAY out of my comfort zone. Then I thought about it. The group was all women. Women who were determined to make lifestyle changes and be healthier, happier people. Eventually, I shared one. Then two. Then Three. I looked back and saw so many positive, supportive comments from these women. These comments made me realize that I was the only person holding myself back. I knew I needed to go all in, but I was hesitant. Now I share sweaty selfie every single day because it keeps me accountable and because there might be another new girl in the group that has the same hesitations that I did.

80 Day Obsession Weekly Recaps
I plan on doing weekly updates about my 80 Day Obsession journey, mainly for my own accountability. I think it's also beneficial to give my honest opinion of the program in case there are others out there who are on the fence about giving it a try.
