2B Mindset: Lose Weight Happily

Image
Where are my emotional eaters at?? What about people who hate being told that they CAN’T eat something?? Or maybe you’re just overwhelmed by all the different weight loss products and programs out there? Are you someone who just hates working out? Or maybe you like working out but you cannot seem to get a handle on the nutrition? Are you someone who: Loves eating out? Hates to cook? Goes out to eat on a regular basis? Is constantly “on a diet”? Beats yourself up after eating too much? Loves to eat food? Is a late night snacker? Loves to travel but falls off the bandwagon while on vacation? Doesn’t want or like to workout? Loves to workout but struggles with nutrition? Needs a simple easy to follow guide for how to literally be emotionally free from food right now? If you answered YES to any of the questions above, this new program from Beachbody is for you! I have always struggled with emotional eating and nutrition overall. I am so excited for 2B Mindset to be launched...

80 Day Obsession - Week 7

Image
Phase 2 - Week 3 of 80 Day Obsession is done and I am so ready to get Week 4 over with so I can move into Phase 3! I can't freakin believe I'm more than half way through this program already. Time is flying by and I'm getting stronger each week. I was on the struggle bus all week long. All week, every single day. My husband is working 13 hour days for 14 days in a row, so he has been waking up at 0430 instead of 0515 which has totally thrown off my sleep schedule for whatever reason. I also have issues with insomnia, so the doctor prescribed me a medication to help me sleep. She said there are tons of medications to choose from, so it's basically just trial and error until we find one that works. I can take up to 2 pills per night, but she said to play around with the doses a bit (not over 2, obviously). The first night I took 1 and I was wiiide awake. Even the dog was confused. The next night, I decided to take 2. Holy cats. Bad idea. I slept, but my goodness I fel...

80 Day Obsession - Week 6

"Keep your squats low and your standards high." -Unknown Phase 2 - Week 2 of 80 Day Obsession is complete! I was half hoping Week 2 would be a little 'easier' than Week 1, but it wasn't. Every single day was a challenge. I did go up in my weights, gradually, through each workout since there were 3 rounds of 10 reps. Cardio Flow is still brutal. Just plain brutal, haha. I literally have to give myself a pep talk before each Cardio Flow day because the workout itself is mentally and physically challenging - a good challenge. 40+ minutes of straight, pure cardio is a challenge in itself. I do love all of the different moves though. I did make a list of the different moves for days when I'm limited on time, I can bypass Autumn and the cast talking to finish the workout faster. By the end of this workout, my leg muscles are usually on fire. I think my favorite workouts in Phase 2 are Total Body Cardio and AAA. The moves are fun and challenging. My heart rate do...

418 Days

Every year, my employer hosts a Blood Drive where employees are able to take time from their work day to donate if they want to. In February 2017, I decided that I would sign up to donate blood because I had never done so in my 26 years of life. I knew multiple people that had benefited from blood donation, including some of my family members, so I knew it was something that I should  do since I was {overall} healthy. I tried donating one time during college, but was turned away due to low hemoglobin levels and never attempted again after that until 2017. One of my co-workers set up the blood drive and asked if she could take my picture of me during the process. I, of course, said "absolutely"... Yesterday, I was messing around on Facebook and noticed that the picture she took was posted on there (I had no clue she posted them). I saw it while browsing and had to do a double-take. The double-take was followed by shock. I could not believe the girl in the picture was me. The...

80 Day Obsession - Week 5

"Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you can go." Phase 2 - Week 1 of 80 Day Obsession is complete! I'll admit, I was a little nervous about moving into Phase 2 because I knew the intensity would be taken up a notch. I felt a sense of accomplishment after finishing Phase 1 because I really felt like I had mastered the moves. I started out with modifications on some of the moves, but ended with being able to do them with no modification. That in itself showed me that I was getting stronger, even if I wasn't seeing astonishing results like some people. Phase 2 meant more intensity and all new moves - what?? I did not want to have to start all over again with having to learn and master new moves. I had found a new comfort zone and I was just fine with hanging out there, but I knew I would have to move forward whether I wanted to or not. Day 27... I was on the struggle bus big time. I felt like I was back at Day 1 with learning the ropes. Som...

The Newest Fair

Image
If you're new here, read this and this so that you're up to speed and not completely lost! At the beginning of February 2018, we welcomed a new Fair into the family - Lily. Lily was born on November 29 (she's our Thanksgiving babe) and she's the sweetest girl. After losing our other lab, Lucy, there was a very obvious void in our house. You see, for the past 3 years our house was full of dogs running around, dog toys all over the floor, cuddles on the couch, and so much more. When Lucy left us, it was so so quiet. It was so quiet that I'd find myself walking from room to room looking for a chewed up shoe or other mischief only to be reminded of my new reality. My husband knew that my heart was broken and he wanted nothing more than to take my pain away. He knew I'd want another puppy and had planned on surprising me with a puppy on Valentine's Day. He ran the idea past a few family members only to be told "Maybe you should tell her first, jus...

80 Day Obsession - Week 4

Image
Week 4 of 80 Day Obsession is done, which also means that Phase 1 is DONE! WAHOO! Those 26 days flew by, I honestly can't believe I started Phase 2 today. When Autumn says this program is not for beginners, she isn't joking. I don't consider myself to be "advanced" per say, but I've been working out for a couple years now and this program still challenged me in ways I never thought possible. It's almost a mental game that you play with yourself. I knew I was capable of doing all of these moves, even if I needed to modify at first, but the hardest part was getting my mind in the right place. The mind is a powerful thing. One phrase we heard multiple times during SKILLS (hands on police training) was "Your mind controls your body, your body does not control your mind" - I definitely had to tell myself this a few hundred times throughout the first phase. Some days I was on the struggle bus, big time. Like Saturday, my last day of Cardio Flow. I kept...
