80 Day Obsession - Week 5

"Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you can go."

Phase 2 - Week 1 of 80 Day Obsession is complete! I'll admit, I was a little nervous about moving into Phase 2 because I knew the intensity would be taken up a notch. I felt a sense of accomplishment after finishing Phase 1 because I really felt like I had mastered the moves. I started out with modifications on some of the moves, but ended with being able to do them with no modification. That in itself showed me that I was getting stronger, even if I wasn't seeing astonishing results like some people. Phase 2 meant more intensity and all new moves - what?? I did not want to have to start all over again with having to learn and master new moves. I had found a new comfort zone and I was just fine with hanging out there, but I knew I would have to move forward whether I wanted to or not.

Day 27... I was on the struggle bus big time. I felt like I was back at Day 1 with learning the ropes. Some moves were familiar and some were brand new. Day 28 - Day 31, I was also on the struggle bus. Again, learning the moves was tough. I'm not ashamed to admit that I had to modify a few times this week in order to get the most out of the workouts. I knew I needed to learn the move and have proper form in order to see results and be safe. On Friday (Day 31), I had to work both of my jobs - that means work from 0800-0300 hours. In order to accommodate this, I decided to take my rest day on Friday and then do AAA on Saturday, followed by Cardio Flow on Sunday. This little switch allowed me to get some extra sleep Thursday night since Friday was going to be an extra long day. I did miss my morning workout on Friday though (Fun fact: I'm one of those people that craves a routine). I ended up doing AAA on about 5 hours of sleep, but felt amazing afterward.

On Sunday, I wanted to skip my workout so bad. I stalled big time. Husband's going to run errands? Sure, I'll go with. There are dirty dishes in the sink? Sure, I'll clean those. Oh, a load of laundry needs to be done? Sign me up for that. It wasn't until around 1030 hours that I told myself to just get my workout over with. I have a love/hate relationship with Cardio Flow. Love it because it pushes me to my limits, but hate it because it's 30+ minutes of pure cardio. My arms, abs, and legs are always on fire mid-way through and don't even get me going on the mule kicks... or as I like to call them, "the mule kicks of death!" Yeah, you read that right. Mule kicks are literally a pain in the ass. I don't know what Autumn Calabrese (creator of 80 Day Obsession) was thinking when she added those into the program. I cranked up the music and went through 3 bottles of water, but I finished the workout.

Workouts (2 sets of 15 reps)
Day 27: Booty
Day 28: Cardio Core
Day 29: Total Body Cardio
Day 30: Legs
Day 31: AAA
Day 32: Cardio Flow {Major love/hate relationship with this...}
Sunday: Rest Day

My cheering section for Cardio Flow <3
