80 Day Obsession - Week 7
My husband is working 13 hour days for 14 days in a row, so he has been waking up at 0430 instead of 0515 which has totally thrown off my sleep schedule for whatever reason. I also have issues with insomnia, so the doctor prescribed me a medication to help me sleep. She said there are tons of medications to choose from, so it's basically just trial and error until we find one that works. I can take up to 2 pills per night, but she said to play around with the doses a bit (not over 2, obviously). The first night I took 1 and I was wiiide awake. Even the dog was confused. The next night, I decided to take 2. Holy cats. Bad idea. I slept, but my goodness I felt like I was in a major fog the entire day and a half after. I opted to take a break from the medication to alleviate the "fog" symptoms, so back to Unisom it was for a few nights. Unisom helps me fall asleep, but I usually wake up after 4ish hours and can't fall back asleep after that... meaning I am exhausted when morning rolls around.
Despite the sleep issues and struggle bus, I still woke up and pressed play. The workouts might not have been my best, but I did them. I didn't let excuses get in the way because I have goals. There has also been a recent stressor with an unexpected family emergency, so my mind has been focused on that. I try my best to be stress free, but it really is inevitable. If it's not one thing, it's another. I also haven't let this recent stressor become an excuse for skipping workouts.
Workouts (3 sets of 10 reps - repeating)
Day 39: Booty
Day 40: Cardio Core
Day 41: Total Body Cardio
Day 43: Legs
Day 43: AAA
Day 44: Cardio Flow {Brutal!!}

I'd also like to point out that I recently discovered Marshalls (yeah, yeah it only took me 27 years) and it just might be my new favorite store. Sorry, Target. I'm a somewhat frugal person, so any store that has discounted items is awesome in my book. I had been in there once when it first opened a couple miles from my house, but I didn't really take the time to look around. I wrote it off and never had a reason to go back. Recently, I've noticed a lot of people on Instagram posting workout outfits that were purchased at Marshalls. I decided to give it a second chance and I was not disappointed. Such cute clothes at great prices. Workout clothes are oddly pretty expensive - like, some people pay $30 for a sports bra. Really?? There's no way I'd ever pay that much for a sports bra, even if it had magic powers of some sort. I picked up 2 pairs of pants from Marshalls for under $20. At Target, on clearance, I've picked up pants for $20 per pair. Steal of a deal at Marshalls. They also have purses, pet items, clothes, shoes, decor, and so much more. If you live close to one of the stores or pass by one, it's worth stopping in. Just sayin... :)
